journal; entry 005

What kind of power do you draw from music?

Leigh Bardugo, The Severed Moon (A Year-Long Journal of Magic)

The power that I draw from music is the power of the very essence of emotion.

Some music can bring out the warrior in you, the courage buried deep down beneath all the pain and scars. The force of strength could be stringed out into lyrical anthem only if we dare enough to do so.

Some music can bring out the poet in you, the melancholy hidden beneath all unsaid words. Finally, expressed with the breath of life into verses and stanzas that could touch heart only if we dare enough to do so.

Some music can bring out the optimist in you, the hope and light in moving forward days by days. As it awaken the understanding how strangely beautiful melody of life can be only if we dare enough to do so.

The power of emotion, said to be our flaw, and it is also the only thing that makes us human. Music proved that how mundane we could be but still able to conjure magic.

  1. Girl I love your journal entries so much. Your writing is very beautiful, the way you gracefully string those words together and create a whole new dimension with them is spectacular. I was mesmerized. Keep writing, dear.
